The Snow Owl is one of the most beautiful birds of prey on the planet.  To see them in the wild is nothing short of breath taking.   In my hometown of Middletown, Rhode Island they have been spending time with us out at Sachuest Point during late winter.  I happened to walk by this one snuggled up in the dunes down Sachuest Beach.  The encounter was brief but one I'll always rememer.  Those eyes.
